Treatment under anaesthetic
Gentle dental treatment under anaesthetic - safety, comfort and care for our young patients.
Despite all the gentle methods used by the paediatric dentist, there are situations in which general anaesthesia is the best way to treat a child.
This may be the case, for example, with
- very young children,
- very large treatment needs,
- surgical procedures (in co-operation with our oral and maxillofacial surgeons),
- existing inflammation (lack of analgesia for local anaesthesia),
- insurmountable fears (also in older children),
- inadequate analgesia for hypersensitive chalk teeth.
Before an operation, we will inform you and your child in a detailed discussion about the exact anaesthetic procedure.
